Is ‘the posthuman’ educable? On the convergence of educational philosophy,animal studies,and posthumanist theory

Formal education in Western society is firmly rooted in humanist ideals. ‘Becoming human’ by cultivating certain cognitive, social, and moral abilities has even symbolised the idea of education as such in Enlightenment philosophical traditions. These ideas are increasingly coming under scrutiny by posthumanist theorists, who are addressing fundamental ontological and epistemological questions about defining an essential ‘human nature’, as well as the elastic boundary work between the human and nonhuman subject. This paper responds to the ongoing discussions on the diverse articulations of posthumanism in education theory and animal studies by investigating possibilities of a shared conceptual framework that allows for a productive dialogue between them. By analysing some of the meanings attached to the notion of posthumanism in education theory and animal studies, the paper begins to identify some instabilities of humanist traditions/ideals of education and explores posthumanist challenges to research on the institutionalised production, mediation, and development of knowledge.  相似文献

心肌SarcK_ATP通道kir6.2亚基在运动预适应心肌保护效应中变化的研究

目的:探讨心肌SarcKATP通道kir6.2在运动预适应心肌保护效应中的变化以及与PKC的关系。方法:SD大鼠分对照组(C组)、力竭运动组(EE组)、运动预适应组(EP组)、运动预适应+力竭运动组(EP+EE组)、PKC阻断剂+运动预适应组(CHE+EP)和PKC阻断剂+运动预适应+力竭运动组(CHE+EP+EE组)。一次大强度间歇跑台运动建立运动预适应模型,力竭跑台运动致大鼠心肌损伤。用原位杂交和实时荧光定量PCR法检测kir6.2mRNA变化,用免疫荧光和免疫印迹法检测kir6.2蛋白变化。结果:与C组比,EE组和EP组kir6.2mRNA无明显变化,而EE组kir6.2蛋白明显升高,EP组kir6.2蛋白明显下降。与EE组比,EP+EE组kir6.2mRNA无明显变化,kir6.2蛋白明显下降。与EP组比,CHE+EP组kir6.2mRNA明显降低,kir6.2蛋白明显升高。与EP+EE组比,CHE+EP+EE组kir6.2mRNA和kir6.2蛋白无明显变化。结论:在EP诱导的保护效应中,心肌SarcKATP通道kir6.2mRNA水平未发生明显变化,而kir6.2蛋白水平明显降低,提示,心肌SarcKATP通道通过kir6.2蛋白水平的降低介导EP诱导的心肌保护效应。PKC对心肌SarcKATP通道的表达具有调控作用。  相似文献

修复补偿是保育红树林湿地功能不退化的重要手段。基于环境效用水平不下降的假设测度居民对修复红树林湿地各项属性的边际支付意愿是修复补偿的技术前提。本文设计了基于被调查者个人“特定现状评价”的选择实验对广西红树林湿地修复的居民偏好和支付意愿进行研究,确定了红树林面积、景观完整性、湿地水质和生物多样性四个修复属性及相应属性水平,对北海、钦州、防城港297个居民随机抽样调查,运用随机参数Logit模型对居民支付意愿进行量化分析。研究结果表明：①居民对修复湿地水质的边际支付意愿最高,为48.44元/（年·人）,其次是红树林面积29.79元/（年\begin{array}{c}?\end{array}人）和生物多样性27.62元/（年\begin{array}{c}?\end{array}人）;②各项属性“特定现状评价”均为最低等级的居民平均每人每年愿意支付153.56元修复红树林湿地,使其各属性状态均达到历史最高水平;③居民对各修复属性的偏好存在异质性和非对称性。研究成果可为相关部门科学实施红树林湿地修复方案提供参考和借鉴。  相似文献

One of the great strengths of Jim Kaput’s research program was his relentless drive towards scaling up his innovative approach to teaching the mathematics of change and variation. The SimCalc mission, “democratizing access to the mathematics of change,” was enacted by deliberate efforts to reach an increasing number of teachers and students each year. Further, Kaput asked: What can we learn from research at the next level of scale (e.g., beyond a few classrooms at a time) that we cannot learn from other sources? In this article, we develop an argument that scaling up research can contribute important new knowledge by focusing researchers’ attention on the robustness of an innovation when used by varied students, teachers, classrooms, schools, and regions. The concept of robustness requires additional discipline both in the design process and in the conduct of valid research. By examining a progression of three studies in the Scaling Up SimCalc program, we articulate how scaling up research can contribute to designing for and evaluating robustness.  相似文献

人类与动物共同参与的体育活动被称为“物种间体育”,参与形式丰富多样,主要包括人类与动物互斗、人类捕获或猎杀动物以及人类利用动物作为运输工具进行赛跑或技能比赛三类,在物种间体育中,人类与动物的关系呈现出两种主要形态：一是主导动物的行为模式,二是剥夺动物的生命。借助哲学、伦理学、社会学的相关理论,对权利、伤害等基础性概念进行深入探讨,在此基础上,阐明动物权利的正当性,梳理人类与动物关系的应然性。结合物种间体育的形式与表现,提出应坚决抵制剥夺动物生命的所谓“血腥体育”,允许主导动物行为模式的物种间体育适度存在,但人类应尽到保护与照顾义务,尽量避免使动物遭受不必要的伤害  相似文献
